BY SHIP
From Moscow, you can also come by ship to Perm (in the western foothills of the Middle Urals) and Ufa (in the western foothills of the Southern Urals) by crossing the European part of Russia along the rivers: Volga, Kama and Belaya (White). River travel to the city Perm usually takes about 10 days.
Beyond the city of Perm, you can continue your travel to reach the city of Ufa.
It is also possible to take a ship journey from Khanty-Mansiysk (where there is an airport available) to the city of Salekhard by ship along the longest river in western Siberia, the river Ob. The duration of your travel will be 1,5 days (including a night in Berezovo). The city of Salekhard is located in the eastern foothills of the Pre-Polar and the Polar Urals which are divided by the Polar Circle.
